About Us

Overview

Lambert’s Health Care & Uniforms has deep roots in caring for the East Tennessee community since it first opened its doors in 1956. Generations of families and medical professionals have chosen Lambert’s to find solutions to living safely and independently at home with our advanced medical technology and senior lifestyle products.

Medical professionals trust Lambert’s not only in the care of their own patients, but to meet their own needs as well. Lambert’s offers Tennessee’s largest inventory medical uniforms, shoes, & nursing accessories. We appreciate the support the community has given us as a local, family-owned business the past 58 years, and we look forward to serving you in years to come.

Lambert’s grew from its Knoxville home to have branches across Tennessee as well as Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and North Carolina. After a series of acquisitions from 1984-1989, Knoxville native and Lambert’s employee Randy Wolfe (who joined the Lambert’s team in 1979) purchased the company in 1989.

In the late 1990s, Wolfe made the strategic decision to refocus the company back to its original roots in Knoxville to give him time to focus more fully on serving Lambert’s core customer base and to develop some of the company divisions that are now Lambert’s pillars today. Lambert’s is an industry innovator in senior lifestyle retail, professional medical apparel, and specialty respiratory programs. For brevity the following list represents key accomplishments for Lambert’s since the new century began in the year 2000.

Our Values

Make a difference… Our job is to enhance the lives of our customers, their family caregivers, and of the medical professionals we serve. Our team’s greatest asset is to work with a servant’s heart.

Treat people like family… Our customers and employees are our community, and we are where we are today because of them. They are treated with the same respect and care as our own families.

Plan for the future… Develop solvent, sustainable programs with profitability so that we can fund our services and continue being a resource for our community. Win win is always best best!

Create brand ambassadors… Our customers are valued, respected, and cared for. As such, their word of mouth endorsements are our greatest advertising and marketing presentations. We strive to earn that daily.

Keep priorities right… What good does it do a man to gain the world yet lose his soul? Profit’s for the company, Success for self, Love for others… the greatest of these is still love.

Giving

As a local, family-owned company, stewardship is one of Lambert’s core principles. We’re committed to giving back and helping others to do the same through our annual “Be the Good” Uniform Drive to benefit medical missions and rural Appalachian outreach. In 2013 we organized our first Be the Good campaign as a uniform drive to repurpose old uniforms to be used by medical missions groups near and far affected by poverty, national disaster, and disease.

Annual “Be The Good” scrubs donation drive to benefit healthcare workers in Africa and rural Appalachia.

For each gently worn uniform donation, the medical professional receives a coupon for a discount off of a new scrub at Lambert’s. We then partner with area ministries like Mission of Hope to distribute these garments to those in need and for medical groups to use in their field clinics. The response from our local medical community has grown each year as we all come together to give these old, unwanted uniforms a second life helping those in need.
